Bout Time!! D-Wade Joins Jordan Brand

One of the ongoing stories of this past basketball season was Dwyane Wade’s refusal to wear the Converse Wade IV for reasons we have yet to find out. However, we have just received news that more than likely goes hand in hand with the aforementioned mystery; Dwyane Wade has just signed to Jordan Brand.

Dwyane Wade now joins the Jordan Brand team which already includes some of his Olympic teammates such as Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul. It seems like he’s more than delighted to be a part of the team to say the least.

“I have enormous respect for this brand and all that it stands for,” said Dwyane Wade. I’m humbled to be a part of the Team Jordan family and I’m looking forward to a great future.”

We should have known this was coming seeing that we spotted Wade at a Miami Heat fan promotion event prior to the playoffs in the Air Jordan 4.

Now, only time will tell if/when Jordan Brand will bless Wade with a top-tier signature sneaker.

“As the Jordan franchise approaches its silver anniversary, Dwyane will become a pinnacle member of the Jordan roster poised to help lead the Brand for years to come,” Michael Jordan said.

i kno, i kno. I've been slacking od. mad ish has happened these past few months. Dont know where to start really. I guess i should start with that i have obtained my driver's license finally (bout effin' time righ?). I also started doing some modeling (check out the pic on the side), nothin too serious. Just something to keep myself busy and find out what i really wanna do in life. Going to Florida in 16 days....that's something im looking forward to. Umm i was sick but im a little better now and I'm learning new languages. Thats about it for now. I'll keep ya updated more often from here on out.

whew, it's been a while and alot has happened since i've last blogged.
Let's just say this New Year's was the best ever (so far). SOOOOO much
happened in such a little time and im surprised I got to see and go through it
all. It was also a special one and let it be known that " `09 belongs to the Entourage Boyz"

Just thought I'd let you know that i bought a new camera, the one i previously blogged about, the Samsung TL34HD. Pretty decent camera if you ask me. Got it at the Palisades from the going out of business Circuit City (who would ever thought?!). But check out a pic that i took just to test out it's 14 mega pixel capacity. the pic is only in 10 mpix tho, believe it or not.

so those of you who know that i go to the gym ( you may be saying "why? kevon doesn't need to") i do in fact. I like to look and feel a certain way and i achieve that by working out. I've always been into martial arts hence my black belt and staying fit. So i wanted to let you in on my progress. I been going since mid-august and since then i've lost 13 pounds. not bad right? i'm also doing it for a certain someone but they dont know who they are :). Yea and im going to keep going cuz it makes me feel good.

im lookin for somethin else to get into. a new hobby of sorts....any suggestions? leave em here

sometimes there are things that you're going through and you will not like them. At all, possibly. You may ask yourself "Why, God, why me?" It's because life is cruel and unfair at times. Things aren't always going to work out in your favor. So when they do, you'll learn to appreciate them more and cherish them better. Also look at it from someone else's point of view. Could it be your fault also, for what you're going through. Certain situations can be avoided if you plan things out or prevent making simple mistakes. Time can be your friend and enemy. It depends on how you use it. Once time goes by, its lost forever so use it wisely. Think of it as a present that gives back depending on the way you utilize it.

Dont beat yourself up all the time either. People are jerks at times, we're all humans and we have faults. Believe me, no one is perfect nor will they ever be because we were not made to be that way. Mistakes teach us not to do certain shit over again. Pain is a result of being hard headed, stubborn, and/or overly confident too.

Find an outlet to use when you feel down. Many people write, listen to music, draw, etc. Whatever helps you relieve stress, w/o hurting you physically (i.e. drugs!), use it to make you feel better. Talk to someone who you know will listen to you no matter what. You never know, they could be going through the same thing as you.

Always remember, you can get to where you wanna be if you put yourself there. People may hinder your progress or try to stop you even. But if you want to do something or get somewhere you will get there because you want to be there. No one can ever crush your dreams or hopes because they cant touch them and they will never be able to.

Self-empowerment is my drug of choice....what's yours??

went shoppin up in woodbury commons (havent been there in years, literally). bought some accessories while i was there. there was this bookbag by North Face called 'Surge' but i didnt feel like shelling out 125 beans for it (idk y) but i regretted doin that lol. but anyways, i made my way to the Palisades mall. never been there in my life (been kinda deprived, u might've noticed) but i liked it alot. I added American Eagle to my apparel now, kinda glad i did. Im going back there in 2 weeks! there's alot i didnt get while i was there, so another trip is in demand.

The Weekend

soo friday i came out of work and went str8 to the casa, showered, took a nap and
watched the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. Then i went to Michelle's mom's
bday party,that was kinda fun. On saturday i slept in all day til work came around.
After that, i was chillin on the block with the fellas and we ended up getting into a
scuffle with some a**hole,...but yea. now today, we were supposed to play football
but that didnt turn out so well so we played stickball instead. My team won (20-18)
cuz we're nice like that!!

im out for now, going to go plan for my cancun trip next yr, and write some more stuff
plannin to go lay down some more trax for "THE CRUNK TRUNK". it's a collaborative effort
put together by my good friend Dennis the Menace. watch out for it soon!!!!!!!!!

we did an interview with Fox 5 News today. i was a lil nervous at
first, i'll admit but i sed "eff it, whats the worst that could happen?"
so my pops lead off first then the lady went around to my mother
and my uncle then it was my time. i started to get nervous and then
i started to sweat a lil(eww lol) but yea, it went smoothly...i think the
interviewer was flirting a bit :x. All in all, it was fun and i hope this
gets out restaurant even more exposure.

Hectic Errand Day

So here's the list i created of all the errands i had to do:

Go to the cleaners to drop off my suit (for my aunt's wedding on the 31st)
Go get a haircut (2moro Fox 5 news is coming to interview our restaurant)
Deposit money in the bank
Sign up at the gym (getting ready for Cancun next yr!!)
Take some clothes back to Urban Outfitters (could've exchanged but got store credit instead)
Buy an iron........i needed a new one :(
meet up with my friend for some job crap (didnt even do it cuz i got there late)
Was going to take the driving class but i didnt feel like goin that late (its a 5 hr class!!!)

SOOOOO that was my day. i walked about a good 200+ miles, i think lol
im tired, cranky,& spent way too much time in the subway(maybe thats y i feel fucked up now) On that note, i think i will just watch tv and listen to |*-*| til i fall asleep
